We just can't tell you how important it is to
gather your supplies before you start!

So much time is wasted if you don't & that can be very discouraging!

Here are a few things that little by little zap & undermine your efforts:

Searching for your rag or squirty bottle

Walking back and forth to pick it up where you left it.  Keep it in hands reach!

Back & forth trips to the garbage can.

Simple Solutions!

Carry an apron that you can tuck your supplies in to!

Tie a plastic baggie to your apron to gather garbage.

Always work top to bottom & left to right!

Keep your supplies in hands reach.

Fold up paper towels  & stick them in your apron (really does save time!).

Keep a plastic scraper in your apron for dried on gunk.

Stick an old toothbrush in your apron as a special grime fighting weapon!

Keep all your supplies in one little bucket under the sink or in the pantry.

Avoid fancy cleaning products & gadgets.  The basics will usually serve you quite well and
with less hassle.

Keep you feet light!  See how much you can get done during the one song.
This makes it a fun contest with yourself!

Rubbing alcohol
on a soft cloth is a great way to disinfect & really clean
those grimy doorknobs, phones & switch plates!

Curb the flu, colds  & other nasty bacteria, germs and viruses.

You've probably never given much thought to the fact that certain areas of your
home are handled quite frequently - surfaces like doorknobs, countertops and light
switches - or the fact that viruses and bacteria can linger on these surfaces for
hours or even days.

To provide protection from bacteria and viruses, disinfect the
heavily-used areas of your home on a regular basis. These include:

The telephone receiver and mouthpiece.
Handles to all faucets.
Handles to the oven and dishwasher.
Handles to refrigerator and freezer doors.
Toilet flushing handles.
Doorknobs to all rooms and closets.
Kitchen and bathroom countertops and cabinets.
Diaper pails and changing tables.
Areas used by pets, especially litter boxes.
All light switches.
Any other high-traffic areas.

Kitchens and bathrooms have high concentrations of germs and require extra
attention when cleaning. In the kitchen, the infectious bacteria from raw meat (such
as chicken) can be left on your counter or on the handle of your refrigerator.
Without regular cleaning of kitchen surfaces, this bacteria can easily be spread to
someone who touches it. In the bathroom, cleaning on a daily basis reduces odors
and prevents the spread of diarrheal illnesses.

If there is a baby in the house, your disinfecting routine should also include the
changing table and diaper pail area. Finally, since babies tend to put everything in
their mouths, you can help keep baby healthy by regularly washing playthings in
warm soap and water.

Lemon Microwave Cleaner
Add 4 tablespoons of lemon juice to 1 cup water in a microwave-safe, 4-cup bowl.
Boil 5 minutes in the microwave, allowing the steam to condense on the inside
walls of the oven. Then wipe clean.
